The #1 Obstacle That May be Holding You Back

Let’s talk about the number one factor that has us thinking we need to be able to do everything in order to be viewed as a successful leader - FEAR. Not the kind of fear that has us running from rabid dogs or big scary bears… but the incessant kind that unconsciously creeps into our hearts and our minds and tells us if we can’t do it all we are less than.
Change requires us to break existing habits that have worked well for us for a time, but these inevitably become obsolete and if left unchanged, can stunt your growth.
We have false beliefs.
When creating a new habit such as asking for help, we may consciously or unconsciously fear that others will think we are weak or stupid because it appears to be easy for everyone else. We falsely believe that great leaders have the ability to do it all. The truth is, the best leaders capitalize on their own strengths and lean on others for theirs.
Here’s a tip: Start with small steps - ask for help one thing at a time until you have surrounded yourself with a group of people that can help you accomplish great things
You can use your leadership mindset to combat fear.
First, we must recognize that the fear of accepting help exists, and then face that fear head on. Whether you work with others or alone, you can always find help. As a solopreneur I had to learn quickly (and sometimes painfully) that I did much better when I had help with marketing, social media, IT, accounting, etc.
